My story
Hi, I'm Frank, the owner, operator, and skipper of the sailing vessel Valkyrie. I'm also a freelance educator, and I plan to sail around the globe, stopping in different countries to work along the way. The world is an incredible place with amazing people and cultures. A two-week holiday doesn't provide the time to absorb and enjoy the time spent in a new place. With the right boat, know-how, and great people to share experiences with, along the way, one can be free to follow the winds around the world's oceans.
This site is a way for me to document this voyage for friends, family, and myself. No social media does what I want from a site, which is to write about the projects, passage plannings, sailing conditions, passages and experiences in new parts of the world, a place to archive and share photos, charts, and other media; and to have discussions and comments as a way to keep contact with those who the winds blow me away from. Maybe some of these pages will be valuable for others — I hope they do.
